Trail Conditions
March 22, 2007 - Just got back from Brookline and had a wonderful afternoon snowmobiling with friends. Went up past Lily Pond to the old trailer, then turned around and headed back. Rode to the Hawk Watch on Putney Mountain via the power lines, Four Corners, Parkers Landing and Rinks Camp, then across Grassy Brook Road. The trails for the most part were in very good shape and the temperatures were about 36 degrees - GREAT riding. The weather forecast is for some light rain and warmer temperatures so not sure how long all this will last, so our advice is to get out there NOW if you want a bit more riding this season. Again......thanks all of you for the great grooming job this year!
March 20, 2007 - Have received many reports over the last 24 hours - all of which say the trails are in great shape. About 12 inches of new snow fell in the last storm (4 days ago) and the groomers have been all over the place! The trails are great although there are just a few open water spots that have occurred due to the warmer temps during the daytime hours. The snow tends to get beat up pretty easily because of the sun and the warmer temperatures, but the groomers have been doing a great job keeping things in fine shape. Good job, all of you!!! Ride safely!
March 16, 2007 - Hold onto your helmets! According to NECN, another 15 inches of snow is predicted to fall on Brookline. Will keep you posted when we hear more............
March 13, 2007 - Riding this past weekend was great with "balmy" temperatures and good snow cover. Reports now are that the snow is definitely softening up and ATVs have been on a few of the local trails, messing things up. Still quite a bit of snow in the higher elevations.
March 9, 2007 - Reports are that trails are still in great shape where they have been groomed, although some side trails are frozen and "rutty". Tomorrow's thaw should make conditions pretty nice - at least temporarily. We are heading back up tomorrow for a few days and will report back when we return to CT.
March 4, 2007 - Just got back from Brookline and things are looking good! We got about 12" more of snow on Thursday night and Friday, followed by sleet and freezing rain which really packed things down. Groomers are out in force and the trails are great. Now let's hope this last for awhile longer so we can enjoy it!
February 28, 2007 - Route 35 has been groomed and is in good shape. We rode from the Airport to Putney Mt. Hawk Watch and conditions were great. The rest of the local trails are in pretty good shape, although Sunday afternoon parts were pretty "beat up." We'll be grooming more and hopefully we'll get a bit more snow from the coming storm (Friday) to keep things going for awhile. Heading back up for the weekend, so will have more to report on Monday.
February 18, 2007 - There are 14-16 inches of fluffy snow in Brookline and riders were out this weekend for the steak cookout. The trails started out good, got a bit "beat up," but the groomers were planning to go out today and get things in shape. Just remember to stay on the sides to pull snow onto the trail and that'll help out a great deal to make this last!!! Happy riding!
February 15, 2007 - Looks like all that "thinking SNOW" has finally worked! Reports are 14-16 inches of snow in Brookline, but too early for trail reports or conditions. Keep checking back and as soon as we hear anything, will post it here.
January 12, 2007 - Still no snow reported in Brookline. This is getting somewhat depressing!!
January 1, 2007 - A picture's worth a thousand words.......(think SNOW a little harder!)

December 27, 2006 - No snow so far! Very disappointing, but keep thinking SNOW!!
