Brookline Snowmobile Club - Vermont

Respect the Landowners and their land...

Brookline is located along the scenic West River in southeastern Vermont (25 miles over the Massachusetts state line) and has a population of 457.  Our club maintains about 30 miles of local trails including 11 miles of VAST Route 35 between Putney and Townshend.

The Brookline Snowmobile Club was first established in 1972;  Fred Robinson was the first President and there were approximately 50 members.  While a great deal has changed in snowmobiling since that time, the original purpose of the club remains the same - a non-profit organization of snowmobiling enthusiasts (young and old, married and single) with a common goal:  to promote safe riding, community spirit, and social and charitable events which provide a means of "giving back" to our community.  Over the past five years our club has averaged $3000 a year in charitable donations which indicates the tremendous generosity of our members and neighbors.

None of this would be possible, of course, without the landowners who allow our trails on their property.  A big "THANKS" to them as well as the many volunteers who work hard to keep our trails in good shape.

Hope you enjoy browsing our website.  (We're still learning about this, so bear with us!)  You'll find our trail map and trail conditions during the riding season, along with weather reports, snow depth reports and lists of our officers, meetings, events, etc.  If you are riding in our area and meet a club member, do stop and say "hello".   We think you'll find that our trails are among the best!
