A bit of club history......................
Fred Robinson started the Brookline Snowmobile Club in the early 1970's along with 13 other charter members. He wanted to improve the snowmobile trails as well as develop a good relationship between the landowners and snowmobilers. The club was set up, by-laws established, and rules, regulations and safety issues agreed upon. Officers were elected and Fred Robinson became the club's first President. Many events and fund-raisers were scheduled and the club immediately began making charitable donations to the community, a practice it continues today. The following is an actual VAST News article written by Fred Robinson in 1975 which describes when, why, and how the club was formed.

Fred Robinson fought Lou Gehrig's (ALS) disease for 4 1/2 years and died in January of 1977. Soon after, the Fred Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up and the Fred Robinson Steak Cookout became an annual Brookline Snowmobile Club event. Proceeds from this cookout provide financial assistance to a student from Brookline or Newfane who is furthering their education.
