FEBRUARY 7, 2009 - RADAR RUN:   Our Radar Run will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Osgoods Field on Hill Road in Brookline.  Refreshments will be sold and the cost of each "run" is $1.00.   Please come and join in on the fun!

SNOWMOBILE SAFETY COURSE:
Jim Rogers and Chris Duke have offered to hold snowmobile safety courses once again for our members.  Their next course will be on Dec. 13.  It will be 6 hours long and lunch will be provided by our club.   Any snowmobile driver who turns 12 by April 1, 2009, is required to have a safety course certficate as well as all members born after July 1, 1983.   There is a hefty fine for driving a snowmobile without this certificate.   Please call Jim or Chris at  802-365-7951 for information and to pre-register.  There is limited space and will no doubt fill up quickly, so call now.    A big THANKS to Jim and Chris for taking on this very important job.

Next Fred Robinson Scholarship Fund Steak Cookout is scheduled for February 14th, 2009.    More details will follow, but mark that date on your calendar!

FEBRUARY 16, 2008

On Saturday, February 16th, the Brookline Snowmobile Club held their Annual Fred Robinson Scholarship Fund Steak Cookout.   We had rather cold weather, but a great turnout for the event.  Everyone enjoyed their steaks with all the trimmings, our prize raffle and 50/50 raffle, and just simply getting together with friends and sometimes making new ones!  People came from surrounding towns and even farther to support this good cause.  Our thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this such a success.

Again, our thanks to all for a great day!

February 9th, 2008

The Brookline Snowmobile Club and the Newbrook Fire Department hosted a very successful Radar Run on Saturday, February 9th, proceeds to benefit the Newbrook Fire Department.   We had great weather with cloudly skies but not too cold and lots of participants.  The event lasted for four hours and was in full swing the entire time!   Nearly 500 "runs" made with the highest speed somewhere around 95 MPH.  Many thanks to all the volunteer workers from the club as well as the Newbrook Fire Dept.  We look forward to making this an annual event!

2006-2007 SEASON:

Our annual Fred Robinson Scholarship Fund Steak Cookout  on Feb. 17th was a success!     We were blessed with about 16 inches of fresh snow a few days before and many people rode their machines into the event.   We had a slew of raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle and, of course, the delicious steaks, baked potatoes, fried onions, baked beans, potato salad, and several desserts.  The weather was a bit chilly but we all had a great time and the cookers helped keep the area warm.  Below are some pictures of the event:

Snow AND snowmobiles arrive!!                                   Lots of good food....                                         A great crowd!
